Sorry for the delay, I thought I would have the video done last month, but its like a rule that indie animation always take more than expected, so its best not to set any dates of release lol

The little contest is now over!! I hope everyone who participated had fun, as the results are seriously amazing (and some really hillarious)! So because it was super hard to decide some of the winners, there are now 5 that I've chosen instead of 3 :). Don't worry, this doesnt mean the prize $ is not gonna be divided or anything lol

But there is a little problem. I want to create a special video announcing the winners, which will make things much more exciting. The problem is that Im not able to work on it right away, as I am burried with 2 other animations currently, and if you know me, I'm so obsessed with one or 2 things my mindset is locked and cannot move to anything else until Im done with the thing lol (OCD I guess).

I can simply announce all the winners here and send all the prizes, but again it would take away that element of excitement, when a much bigger audience could see the special video on my channel.

So I wanna hear your thoughts! Can you guys wait for a few weeks until the announcement?

If you're age 30 or under (BUT IF YOU ARE OLDER THAN 30 THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR YOU, so keep reading down below), you get a special opportunity to work abroad in my small but growing animation studio in Estonia (Tallinn). I didn't decide the age limit, its the stupid Visa programme that made this weird choice lol. This is for anyone living outside the EU too, so anyone from US, Canada, Russia or whatever can come here for work, AND you actually get extra payment from this programme, not to mention they pay for all your travelling expenses, rent and food etc.! So you would get paid from both the studio AND the visa programme, how cool is that? :D

So for those who are 30, you are not gonna be discriminated, do not fret. You will simply not be part of the Visa programme, but you are still welcome to work in our studio!! You will get still paid and everything, it will be only from the studio though. I think its still worth it to come, as you will learn a whole bunch of stuff while working together with the team and also living abroad.

We got a bunch of nice cintiques (screen tablets) for your comfort, so no need to drag anything here. If you have a strong PC/laptop, that can still help though.

The only other requirement is that you gotta have already some decent experience in animation. So anything from keyframes, inbetweens, editing etc. you have to already know how its done in basic terms at least. ALSO super important is the drawing skill, if you suck at drawing cartoon figures from model sheets, then this will be a huge minus point on your resume, since we value drawing quality over anything. Your other skills can make up for it though, so lets talk then.

Hope you guys are having a great holiday season! This year was pretty good overall I found, so I hope the next one can be even better.

So anyway, just as my YT channel is about to reach 300k subs, Ive come to realise that I now seriously need help with animation. I have had some minor help with clean up/inbetweens from local school kids this year, but it wasnt too great so I ended up finishing their work myself. 

As some of you fellow animators may know that doing this type of work daily can be extremely exhausting. Im already ok with ditching my social life, but Id still like to have a bit of peace of mind knowing that I can rely on someone in times of stress etc. So anyway, I want to build a responsible team who is passionate about TRADITIONAL animation, so to be clear, I'm not looking for tween animators who dont have experience wtih traditional methods (frame by frame etc.). Basic knowledge of the 12 principles of animation is enough, so not like you need to be a Calarts artist or anything. The ideal artist would need to know basic anatomy, both realistic and cartoon based, so that aniamting stuff like the Simpsons, Sonic or Cuphead isnt a problem,

I can pay up to 1-1.5k$ for now for assistance with inbetweens and cleanups/colour. I think itd be better if I pay task-based for the first month, so I can see how fast you are and what you actually can do in this time frame. In this case Id give some work on a single scene, to clean up/redraw the characters/color and of course correct the frames in case something is off. So model sheets are very important in my projects, as I have many parodies to work on I like to have them as close to original as possible. I know this may sound boring, as so many artists prefer to draw in their own style, but I think imitating the original gives a greater believability and its funny how some people cant tell if its real or not.

So after releasing the trailer, I got a lot of hate messages. Of course this is bound to happen considering the nature of the content, but I am not that amused by the variety of these 'critics'. I was expecting some logical reasoning on why they dont like something, but instead its some of the strangest comments ever - "You clearly hate technology, why dont you include PCs, tablets and TV as well??", "this is pure propaganda!!!", "My phone saved my life, how dare you make this?!?!", "Youre a retard, you will waste your life animating 10 episodes of such shit". 

lol its still funny tho.

So I wanted to share with you guys something Ive been cooking the past few months. 

Meet Lance and Maple

Together they are on a mission to destroy every smartphone on the planet.

Why you ask? Because smartphones are toxic. Well its the human mind that's really toxic, but you get the picture. Too much addiction to the little glowing screen these days thus the duo decides to put an end to this. Dont wanna spoil too much, but maybe they have their own reasons for this mass tech destruction.

Although I had these characters for about 8 years in some dusty sketch books (their gimmick was initially to destroy all sorts of technology cause it kills human interaction) it was because I was inspired by the reaction of that E,E n E smartphone parody that made me want to bring them to life somehow. I was amused by how pissed so many people were when I challenged their love for phones (I especially liked the hate PM's I got from a few users).
